NRL - Finals Fever

A long regular season has finally come to an end and now only eight teams remain in the race for the ultimate prize. There have been some very good teams miss out this year with teams like South Sydney, the West Tigers and the Penrith Panthers all probably deserving of finals football. Like most years there are some teams starting to show wear and tear and others starting to show Premiership form.

On the downside are the Bulldogs and the Gold Coast who have had incredible seasons but are struggling with form and injuries. Both clubs were not considered final contenders at the start of the season but have proven the punters wrong by finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. They both, however, face tough finals campaigns.

Last year’s Grand Finalists Melbourne and Manly will clash in the first week of the finals and both sides appear that they are ready to show their best after average regular season form. St George have had a great season and turned around a fairly average last month with an emphatic demolition of Parramatta last weekend. The other team that is also showing plenty of late season form is the Brisbane Broncos who appeared to have every chance of missing the finals less than a month ago.
