Canadian sports betters love a good fight and there will be nothing better than the huge clash between BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez.
Canadians who love all things MMA will be salivating over the BJ Penn v Diego Sanchez matchup. The UFC lightweight division has seen some great contenders like Joe Stevenson, Kenny Florian and Clay Guido come and go, but there is little doubt that Penn and Sanchez are the two with the most talent. They both also have a unique style and either could produce one of the all time classics as long as Penn doesn’t find a submission early.
The Hawaiian, ‘Prodigy’ Penn, will start a short priced favorite and is currently $1.33 at 888sport. This price seems very short against a fighter with the explosive capacity of Diego Sanchez. You can pick up $3.00 about Sanchez which seems a very attractive price. One thing that is for certain is it will be one hell of a build up.
Frank Mir must be the most blessed fighter in the UFC as he gets another chance to climb into title contention. This time he takes on French up-and-comer Cheick Kongo. This looks to be a pretty interesting contest as both fighters have the same dimensions to their game. 888sport has Mir as a $1.53 favorite which is certainly a short quote. That leaves the Frenchman at $2.37 and in a fight that should be very close, this appears to be excellent value.
The other fight on the card that will be a cracker is Florian v Guido. These two are the next best lightweights fighting it out to see who will eventually fight the winner of Penn and Sanchez. Florian is the favorite at $1.50 and I think Guido represents huge value at $2.40.
All in all this looks like one of the best fight cards ever offered so sit back, get the pizza and the beer ready to go and enjoy watching some good old fashioned swinging for the rails.
