Dany Heatley Where he Goes Nobody Knows

Dany Heatley’s future is still in doubt with the Oilers and the Rangers being the only teams still looking to pick him up from the Senators. Betting has been heating up at Wimbledon with Roger Federer still a clear cut favorite.

Ottawa Senators winger Dany Heatley is still a hot property on the trade table even though some teams have withdrawn their interest. The problem at this point is where does he go? The West German born superstar has had an interesting history which started back in 2000 when he was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers where he won the Calder Memorial Trophy in the year of 2002. He left the Thrashers shortly after that after a much publicized car accident in which fellow team mate Dan Snyder was killed. Since then he has called Ottawa home but he is currently looking to move on again.

The two most likely candidates remaining in the race for the services of Heatley are the New York Rangers and the Edmonton Oilers. The Senators are playing hard ball at the moment and are claiming that they haven’t received a fair offer. It also appears that the St Louis Blues and the Los Angeles Kings, that previously expressed interested in the goal scoring talent, have pulled out of the race. It is becoming a messy situation as Heatley will be owed a $4 million signing bonus on 1 July from the Senators. Ottawa may be forced to hold onto Heatley even though he has expressed an interest to leave the franchise and take his career in a different path.
