The PDC World Cup of Darts is one of the three new tournaments which was introduced into the calendar in 2010. It will be held for the first time in December this year in the north-east of England and World Cup of darts betting promises to be richly rewarding for lovers of a high level darts tournament.

It has earned the nickname, “the FA Cup of darts” because the minnows can come up against the big boys. In addition, there are no seedings for the top players which means they can be drawn against each other at any stage.

Just like the FA Cup, a random draw takes place to determine the matches for the next round.

PHIL Taylor has dominated darts as a colossus of the game for the past decade and more. His place in the history of the game is assured as he has topped the standings year after year by achieving results against anyone who threatened his hegemony.

Many have tried, few had come close until the 15-time world champion was knocked out of last year's competition and suffered a crushing loss to Potteries rival Adrian Lewis in the opening fixtures of this year's competition.
