2010 Masters Tournament

The Masters Tournament, or The Masters, is a major championship event in professional golf. It is the first among four major championships to be played every year, and is held during the first week of April.

This year’s Masters Tournament is the 74th edition, and will be held at the Augusta National Golf Club on 8 to 11 of April. Among all the major championships, The Masters has the smallest number of participants. So far, there are 93 players who have qualified in the tournament.

The defending champion of The Masters is Ángel Cabrera, and the runners-up in the tournament last year who qualified this year are Ian Woosnam, Mike Weir, Tom Watson, Craig Stadler, Vijay Singh, Mark O'Meara, Larry Mize, Phil Mickelson, Sandy Lyle, Bernhard Langer, Zach Johnson, Trevor Immelman, Raymond Floyd, Ben Crenshaw and Fred Couples.

World’s number one Tiger Woods will also compete in the tournament; his first tournament after being out for more than five months. Woods has been receiving therapy in a rehabilitation clinic after the issue of his infidelity broke out.

Since Woods has returned, it is highly likely that he will be one of the favourites among bookmakers and golf betting fans.

Other qualifiers include Geoff Ogilvy, Lucas Glover and Michael Campbell from the US Open, Pádraig Harrington and Stewart Cink from the British Open, and many more.
