THE best there is, Lee Westwood has proven himself in the past couple of years in all four corners of the globe, and in the white hot atmosphere of the Ryder Cup, to be the best golfer on the planet.
But there is one glaring omission on his CV. That of a major champion.
To be one of the best in history, to take a place in the standings as an all-time great, a golfer must win one of the four major tournaments which are held each year: the US Masters, the Open championship, the US Open and the US PGA championship.
