The Grand National is the World’s most famous horse race in the World and is run over 4 miles and four furlongs incorporating thirty fences, including some of the most famous fences in the World including Becher's Brook, The Chair, and the Canal Turn.
The race was first run in 1839, when a horse called Lottery won, and it’s part of a three day festival of racing at Liverpool racecourse, known better as Aintree.
Online bookmakers offer many bets on the Grand National each year including which horse will win the race and which will make the frame (the first four home).
