Christmas in England just isn’t the same without Kempton’s traditional Boxing Day meeting, and last year the day was postponed to January due to frost.
So, it is with extra vigour that racegoers and punters looking forward to placing a bet and getting free bets will attend or watch this year’s Kempton King George meeting on the 26th December.

2011 is fast running out and the opportunity to bet on sporting fixtures is fast running out but the traditional Boxing Day race at Kempton and the final big race of the year, the King George VI Chase. This will give punters a real treat as they recover from their Christmas turkey feast.

The Hennessy Gold Cup is a horse race run over 3 miles 2 ½ furlongs(5,331 metres) at Newbury racecourse each November and is one of the most eagerly awaited chases of the season as it pitches the best of the previous season’s novices in with the seasoned campaigners for the first time, and usually a horse of great talent – which goes on to contest and win other great races during the season - takes the winning prize money.

This year the contest takes place on 26th November 2011 and the race dates back to 1957 with many of jumps racing equine greats having won the race.
