For once the Aussies are getting a taste of good old fashion Kiwi resolve as the NZ Super 14 teams and the Black Caps beat up on the Aussies. Kiwi online sports betting experts have made a fortune in the last few weeks by simply sticking with their home teams. Some of the Super 14 teams have been short priced favourites but they have done the job easily and keep covering the line. On the cricket you have been getting huge odds about the Black Caps as the bookies don’t seem to realize that the Aussies aren’t what they used to be.
The Crusaders may have had a hiccup against the Reds a few weeks ago but apart from that one upset result it has been business as usual for the NZ teams. The Hurricanes are undefeated and appear to have their best chance ever to win the elusive title. The Chiefs have started the season undefeated and have registered three away wins before they even play a game at home. The Blues have now clawed back a couple of hard fought victories and remain in contention and even the lowly Highlanders appear to have improved from last year. Is this the year? Imagine if four of our teams filled the semi finals in the Super 14.
Even more impressive at the moment is the job the Black Caps are doing against the Aussies. After being beaten in the first 20/20 game the Black Caps have fought back in impressive style. Brendon McCullum destroyed the Aussies in the second 20/20 game with arguably the greatest ever display of slogging ever witnessed. The Aussies took the game into an extra over but the Kiwis stood strong and paid off their supporters by landing bets of over $3.00 for those smart enough to back them to win.
The Black Caps then proved that wasn’t a fluke and chased down 275 to win the first game of the Chappell Hadlee One Day Trophy. Captain Daniel Vettori had to sit the game out and was replaced by veteran Scott Styris who many thought was at the end of his career. Styris had other ideas and the gutsy Kiwi smashed 49 of only 35 balls to win the game in the last over. It was an innings of incredible courage and one that will see his career continue on at the highest level. 888sport again paid out dividends of over $3.00 if you stood by our boys and took the Aussies on. Now we can only hope they can do the same thing in the test matches.
