Real Madrid are the richest club in world football in 2026, generating more than €1.1 billion in revenue in the 2024-25 season, according to Deloitte Football Money League.

Real were more than €200 million ahead of second-placed Barcelona. The Catalan club ranked second, followed by Bayern Munich, PSG, and Liverpool.

These figures are taken from the latest edition of the Deloitte Football Money League, focusing on revenue from the 2024-25 season.

A team having one of the richest Premier League owners does not have a direct impact on their annual revenue, while a club sticking around in the Champions League betting markets would do due to the additional revenue that comes with a deep run in the competition.

Who Is The Richest Football Club In The World?

A profile of the richest football clubs on the planet can be found below.

Top 10 Richest Football Clubs Explained

Real Madrid - €1.161 Billion

Real Madrid broke the billion-Euro milestone in 2023-24 and added €116 million in revenue in the following season.

Renovations ensured the Santiago Bernabéu continues to print money for the continent’s most successful team, and their commercial success is unparalleled.

Barcelona - €947.8 Million

A new-look Camp Nou brings more revenue-generating opportunities for Barcelona. The 2024-25 season was another successful campaign, with a league title and Copa del Rey. Barcelona are set to add more revenue this season via their performances on the pitch, they could wrap up their 26th La Liga title this weekend at Osasuna, although i'm sure they'd prefer to do it at home in the El Clasico next weekend against Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich - €860.6 Million

A commercial superpower, Bayern are back in the top three for the first time since the 2021 edition of the Money League. Only one Bundesliga team is within €500 million of Bayern’s revenue mark, highlighting the gap between the haves and have nots in German football.

Bayern Munich will be looking for UEFA Champions League success this season, Vincent Kompany's side are 10/11 with 888sport to progress in Wednesday's semi-final second leg against the reining champions PSG.

PSG - €837 Million

Entering the post-Kylian Mbappé era hasn’t hurt PSG. Led by the brilliant Luis Enrique, the French Club soared to long-awaited Champions League glory in 2025. With that success came riches, though PSG are no strangers to a top five Money League spot.

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to make UEFA Champions League history, following a 5-4 victory against Bayern Munich last week, the Parisians are 3/1 with 888sport to win the second leg within 90 minutes.

Liverpool - €836.1 Million

Liverpool are the highest-ranked Premier League club for the first time in the history of the Deloitte Money League. Arne Slot had a dream first season at Anfield, winning the Premier League and ensuring another season of Champions League football. An early exit from the 2024-25 Champions League stopped the Reds breaking into the top four.

Liverpool sit 4th in the Premier League with just four games remaining, they travel to rivals Manchester United on Sunday where they can be backed at 7/4 to take all three points.

Manchester City - €829.3 Million

A disappointing 2024-25 season on the pitch was reflected in a slight decrease (1%) in Manchester City’s revenue. Pep Guardiola’s team have turned their season around and are now on course for a domestic treble having already won the EFL Cup, the Cityzens find themselves in the FA Cup final and in conention for the Premier League.

A trip to Everton is next up for City in the English top-flight, where they are odds-on at 4/9 with 888sport to continue their pursuit of Arsenal.

Arsenal - €821.7 Million

The long-running partnership with Emirates continues to be lucrative for Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta hasn’t got the Gunners over the hump in the Premier League or Champions League, but their consistency as a contender has ensured stable revenue figures. Arsenal’s 2024-25 revenue was €105 million higher than the previous season.

Despite recent performances, Arsenal remain on course for UEFA Champions League and Premier League triumph's, the Gunners face Atletico Madrid in the UCL semi-final second leg next week having played out a 1-1 draw in Spain last Wednesday, 888sport makes Arteta's side the heavy-favourites to progress at 2/7.

Manchester United - €793.1 Million

A lack of Champions League football has hit Manchester United hard. This is the Red Devils’ lowest-ever position in the Money League. United generated €39 million more in matchday revenue than in 2023-24 but saw a €52 million decrease in broadcasting revenue.

This season looks promising though with United all but securing their spot in the UEFA Champions League for next season, another victory against Liverpool on Sunday would confirm their European spot.

Tottenham - €672.6 Million

Spurs’ state-of-the-art stadium continues to generate significant revenue through concerts, NFL games, and a variety of other events.

On the pitch it's been a complete disaster, the Lilywhites sit 18th in the Premier League having picked up just eight wins thus far, with Roberto De Zerbi's side odds-on at 22/31 with 888sport to be relegated.

Chelsea - €584.1 Million

Increases in matchday and broadcasting revenue compensated for a decrease in commercial revenue.

Chelsea have often played without a front-of-shirt sponsor in recent years and Stamford Bridge’s comparatively small capacity hamstrings the club somewhat.

The Blues could take a huge hit in terms of revenue this season given they sit outside the European places in 8th with just four games left to play following a dismal campaign.

Revenue Breakdown: Where Does the Money Come From?

Deloitte breaks down club revenue into three categories: Matchday, broadcasting, and commercial.

Matchday

Matchday income refers to money generated from ticket sales, corporate boxes, and concessions. In 2024-25, this was approximately 20% of the aggregate revenue for the 20 richest clubs.

More fixtures and premium packages have helped football clubs to increase their overall matchday income over the years. At times, it has been around the 10% mark for clubs with smaller stadiums like Chelsea.

Broadcasting

Broadcasting revenue saw a 17% increase in 2024-25 due to the 32-team Club World Cup held in the United States.

It accounted for €4.7 billion across the 20 richest clubs and has long been a difference-making factor for Premier League teams.

The Premier League is so well-represented because of their massive broadcasting deals and how evenly the money is shared.

There are also mammoth broadcasting agreements for teams in the Champions League, which can contribute to large year-on-year changes if clubs fail to qualify.

Commercial

All sponsorships and merchandise come under commercial revenue. Real Madrid would rank 10th in the world purely on their commercial revenue (€594 million).

This is the primary revenue source for the 20 richest clubs in the world, accounting for more than 40% of their overall revenue.

Clubs towards the bottom of the list see a smaller percentage of their revenue come from commercial sources.

Around a quarter of West Ham’s revenue was commercial in 2024-25. Only 18.4% of Aston Villa’s revenue was categorised as commercial.

Which is the Richest Premier League Club in 2026?

Liverpool are the richest Premier League club in 2026 after garnering the fourth-most revenue in world football in 2024-25.

They are one of nine Premier League clubs in the top 20, along with Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and West Ham.

The Reds won the Premier League title in Arne Slot’s first year in charge to earn their highest-ever position in the Money League.

Part of Liverpool’s rise to the richest Premier League club was down to Manchester United’s descent, with the Red Devils missing out on Champions League revenue.
