NFL Week 13 Predictions & Tips

  • Kansas City and Detroit jostle for the top of the power rankings entering Week 13 with 10-1 records.

  • Thanksgiving celebrations in the US have the schedule starting on Thursday with three games this week.

  • Every NFL team will play a game in Week 13.

It’s a bumper week of NFL action in Week 13, kicking off with a three-game slate on Thursday, another on Friday featuring the reigning champions, 11 games on Sunday, and a Monday night capper between the Browns and Broncos.

After 12 weeks of play, it’s the Lions, Chiefs, Eagles, Bills, and Ravens who’ve impressed the most, with dark horses emerging in the forms of the Packers, Chargers, and even the Broncos and Steelers.

With every team in action, here are the NFL Week 13 picks.

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings

It may have taken an extra period of play, but the Minnesota Vikings – particularly Sam Darnold and Jordan Addison – did well to put away the Chicago Bears in the end.

At one point, the team on a three-week road trip were 27-16 up on the Bears, but a spirited resurgence inspired by Caleb Williams and a successful onside kick got the Bears 11 points after the two-minute warning.

For the team with one of the best mascots in the league, it was an admittedly difficult road trip to meet the Seattle Seahawks, but the low-scoring affair certainly shone a light on Arizona’s offensive struggles.

In what ended up being a 16-6 loss, the Cards rotated the backfield heavily to try to find a new angle in the run game, but ultimately, a season-best performance from Seattle’s defence held them to just two field goals.

Now, the Cardinals travel to Minnesota after a tough road loss and against a much tougher defence. The picks for this NFL Week 12 match go to the Vikings at -3.5 on the spread and Justin Jefferson to score a TD anytime.

Los Angeles Chargers at Atlanta Falcons

After a good run of form to fly to the top spot in the NFC South, the Atlanta Falcons had their wings clipped before the bye week, coming out of the rest on a two-game skid.

They’re still in sole ownership of the division’s top spot, and head coach Raheem Morris has offered some encouraging comments that the backfield will be utilised in play action more, but they face quite the opponent in Week 13.

The Los Angeles Chargers were happy going head-to-head with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, looking like dark horses for the Super Bowl in doing so; that is, until JK Dobbins went down with a knee injury against his old team.

After that, a game LA had a possession advantage in slid to Baltimore, with the Chargers only running the ball five times in the second half despite having the very competent also former Raven Gus Edwards at the ready.

Even though the Chargers struggled to contain Derrick Henry and the vaunted Baltimore run game overall, the defence remains one of the best in the league, and Justin Herbert will be throwing against the team that allows the highest completion percentage (71.6%) in the NFL.

Herbert looks set to have a big day against the Falcons, so these Week 13 picks side with the big man beating his passing yards over and the Chargers winning on the moneyline.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers needed to hit the ground running after a tough run into their bye week, and certainly did so by putting a 30-7 beat down on the New York Giants.

Lowly as Big Blue may be, it was a big confidence booster – especially because Baker Mayfield put his body on the line multiple times to drive scoring efforts and even get up the field to block at the 50-yard line on a play that started in safety territory for the Bucky Irving run.

The Carolina Panthers will be in contention for the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and yet, hints of what the team could be were on shown when they went toe-to-toe with the champions.

In a game that required a walk-off field goal from the Kansas City Chiefs, the Panthers did exceedingly well to put up 27 points against what’s been hailed as the core component behind the Chiefs’ 10-1 start.

In a morale-crippling loss, having come so close to getting a rare win, the fired-up Bucs come to town, ready to keep rolling. For this one, the NFL picks side with the Bucs at -8.5 on the spread and for them to score over 26.5 points.

The Week 13 NFL picks here side with the Chargers, Vikings, and Buccaneers all putting up wins during this stacked part of the schedule.
