Signed for a massive fee by Manchester United in 2023, Rasmus Hojlund has seen his profile grow exponentially over the last 24 months.
Scoreless in 15 league appearances for Copenhagen only a couple of years ago, Hojlund now plies his trade for one of the biggest clubs in Premier League betting.
Per year | €5,197,036 | £4,419,933 |
Per month | €433,086 | £368,327 |
Per week | €99,943 | £84,998 |
Per day | €14,238 | £12,109 |
Per hour | €593 | £504 |
Per minute | €9 | £7 |
In the early stages of his career, some expect Hojlund to be one of the betting favourites for the Golden Boot in years to come. Others will be more hesitant about his development, particularly with how many starlets have fallen short of expectations at Manchester United.
Whether he becomes one of the greatest ever Premier League strikers or not, the Dane is going to be in the spotlight for years to come.
How Much Is Rasmus Hojlund Worth?
Estimations for Rasmus Hojlund net worth vary from under £1 million to tens of millions. The answer is probably somewhere in between. After all, the Dane is only at the start of his career at the top level, but he is still earning a hefty sum each week.
Pocketing multiple millions per year, Hojlund’s salary will have increased dramatically when he joined Manchester United. He’s also not had that long to secure big endorsement deals.
Straight Forecast - England / Denmark
If his career takes off at Old Trafford, we will see him collect several sponsorship pacts, just as Erling Haaland has following his dream first two seasons with Manchester City.
At this stage, Hojlund’s net worth is going to be insubstantial compared to many of his peers. Providing his money is managed carefully, though, that number should only grow in the coming seasons.
What Is Rasmus Hojlund's Salary?
Rasmus Hojlund earns £4.42 million per year, according to Spotrac. He signed a five-year deal with an option for an extra year in 2023.
United can extend his current contract for an extra season, but if he’s a success in the Premier League, it’s likely he will receive a new deal before the Red Devils get the chance to exercise that option.
Hojlund’s weekly wage of £85,000 is unspectacular by Premier League standards. This, of course, is still far more than the average annual salary in the UK, however, and puts him joint-128th among Premier League players.
Joe Gomez, Pedro Porro, and Michail Antonio are among the players on the same wage as Hojlund. He earns less than Jack Harrison, Harry Winks, and Malang Sarr.
How Old Is Rasmus Hojlund?
Rasmus Hojlund was born on 4th February 2003, making him 21 years old at the time of writing. He is the most expensive player aged younger than 21 in Premier League history.
He debuted for Copenhagen at just 17 years of age, and scored five goals for his hometown club in the 2021-22 Europa Conference League.
Career Goals
Rasmus Hojlund has scored 43 senior club goals. He has also scored seven goals for Denmark in 12 appearances ahead of this summer's European Championship in Germany.
Despite facing some criticism in a dysfunctional Manchester United team, the 2023-24 season was actually the most productive of Hojlund’s career.
He netted 16 goals, which was six more than his previous best - 10 for Atalanta in 2022-23. Likely to feature prominently in Euro 2024 Group C betting tips, Hojlund could be a hit this summer.
Hojlund scored five goals across two matches for Denmark in March 2023. His next two goals for his national team came against Slovenia and San Marino in Euro 2024 qualifying.
Transfer To Manchester United
Manchester United acquired Rasmus Hojlund in the 2023 summer transfer window for an initial fee of £64 million, which could rise to over £70 million. He is the 21st most expensive signing in Premier League history, just behind Kai Havertz and former Manchester United winger Angel di Maria.
Upon signing with United, Hojlund said, "It is no secret that I have been a fan of this great club since I was a small boy and I dreamed of walking out at Old Trafford as a Manchester United player.
"I am incredibly excited by this opportunity to turn that dream into a reality and I am determined to repay the faith that the club has shown in me.
"It is still early in my career but I know that I am ready to make this step up and play with this group of world-class players. Once I had spoken to the manager I knew that this environment would be perfect for my development.
"I am relishing the opportunity to work with one of the best coaches in the world. Under his guidance and support I know that I am capable of achieving great things, together with my new team-mates at this special club."
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag spoke glowingly about the Copenhagen native.
"He is a real frontman. Very direct to the goal, very good presser, a physical presence. I think in the balance of this squad, we needed that, alongside (Marcus) Rashford, another player who is direct and can score a goal. That is all in his mind - he wants to score goals.
"I think he has huge potential. And now it's up to him first, to explore that and we will support him, all the coaches, the team, the team was waiting for a type like him. They will integrate him in the dressing room and in the pitch, they will help him."
Hojlund scored 16 goals in 43 appearances in his first season for Manchester United.
Denmark Career
Having represented Denmark at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21, Rasmus Hojlund made his senior debut in September 2022. His first start for Denmark came in March 2023, which also included his first three goals for his country.
Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand reached an agreement with Manchester United about Hojlund’s usage when he was managing an injury.
However, Hjulmand was critical of the Red Devils in the lead up to Euro 2024, noting how hard it is for players to find form in a struggling side.
