Often overlooked for England due to his defensive weaknesses, Alexander-Arnold has at times been polarising. His quality as a creator is not up for debate, however, and his importance to Liverpool cannot be overstated.

Few full-backs are anywhere near the top of the football betting markets for PFA Player of the Year – Alexander-Arnold has been, such is his impact.

How Much Is Trent Alexander-Arnold Worth?

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s net worth is estimated to be between £2.5 million and £5 million. There are no exact figures for Alexander-Arnold’s net worth, despite the England international being a prominent figure throughout the 2020s.

A former Under Armour athlete, Alexander-Arnold penned a deal with Adidas during the 2023/24 season

He has also endorsed Calvin Klein, Nivea, and various other companies, along with being an investor in the Alpine Formula One team alongside Rory McIlroy, Travis Kelce, Juan Mata, and other sporting stars.

When the deal was announced, Alexander-Arnold said, "I'm excited to be joining Otro Capital's group as an investor into Alpine F1 along with my brother Tyler.

"Having been to Formula 1 races as a fan, I love the high-pressure environment of the paddock and I've seen first hand how incredibly impressive the Alpine team is.

"Our shared goal as an investment group is to help contribute to its continued success on the grid, at a time when F1 is facing incredible growth as a sport. As a footballer, I understand the importance of teamwork, innovation and determination in achieving goals."

Salary Reports

Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to Spotrac, is on £180,000 per week. This is the same amount as Ruben Dias, Enzo Fernandez, Manuel Akanji, and Gabriel Martinelli.

Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are the only Liverpool players earning more than Alexander-Arnold. There are 10 Premier League defenders and over 30 players overall on more than Alexander-Arnold per week.

Contract

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Liverpool contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 Premier League season. As of January 2025, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah’s contracts are also due to expire in the summer of 2025.

The threat of Alexander-Arnold leaving for free has generated concern on Merseyside, with Real Madrid among the clubs showing an interest.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot claims it has had no impact on Alexander-Arnold’s commitment to the club.

"I see him on the training ground every day working his a** off. He is fully committed to us and he will play on Sunday.

"If it would destabilise players at Liverpool if other people talk about them, then we would really have a problem because if you play at one of the biggest clubs in the world everybody is always - for 12 months long - talking about you, sometimes in relation to other clubs.

"That happens so many times for our players, so if that destabilises them then we really would have had a problem, not only now but in the last six months because there were some talks about our players in the last six months and I don't think it destabilised them at all."

Real Madrid Rumours

Real Madrid have long been seen as the top suitors for Trent Alexander-Arnold should his Liverpool contract expire. In January 2025, Los Blancos submitted a bid for Liverpool’s right-back, which was rejected by the Anfield hierarchy.

Real were able to begin discussing a pre-contract with Alexander-Arnold on 1st January 2025. Liverpool are going to be very reluctant to sell given how it would impact their push for the Premier League and Champions League.

Real Madrid have their own short-term ambitions in the midst of a fierce La Liga title race.

Dani Carvajal suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, a ruptured external collateral ligament and a ruptured popliteus tendon in his right leg earlier this season.

Real have been using Lucas Vazquez and others at right-back, but are desperate to put Alexander-Arnold on the right-side of their back line for the rest of the decade.

Liverpool’s Premier League odds would inevitably lengthen if they sold Alexander-Arnold in the January transfer window.

Jamie Carragher, speaking on Gary Neville’s podcast, discussed the impact of the transfer rumours.

"This manager, what he has done since he came in, it has been out of this world. He has been one of the revelations of the Premier League and I would just say to those players: This is going on in the background; you don't need to keep reminding us because we all know about it.

"Don't be getting quoted on it and putting this manager under pressure every three days when he has to answer something about your contract.

"You are all in the team together and the most important thing is Liverpool winning the league. If your contracts get sorted at the end of the season, that's a bonus. I'd be delighted, but the most important thing is the club. Never forget that."

Assist Record

Trent Alexander-Arnold has the most assists of any defender in Premier League history.

In December 2024, Alexander-Arnold spoke about his assists tally in an interview with Sky Sports’ Melissa Reddy.

"To be honest, I never thought I'd ever hit numbers like that. They were never an aim for me to reach a hundred assists or break records in that respect.

"But, the more you play, the more extravagant your dreams and ambitions become. So yeah, that'll probably be the next thing: I try to hit that 100."
