Arriving in Lancashire in 2023 after playing the first few years of his career in Switzerland, Amdouni could be a breakout star in Germany.

Yes, he’s not going to be among the favourites in outright sports betting markets, but that doesn’t mean he will be a non-factor as the Swiss aim to go on a deep run.

How Much Is Zeki Amdouni Worth?

Zeki Amdouni net worth is reportedly in the £500,000 region. While Amdouni earns over a million pounds per year, his salaries during his time in Switzerland will not have been anywhere near as big.

As a result, Amdouni is yet to amass the same net worth as many of his higher-earning Premier League peers.

Income streams for footballers go far beyond their salary, of course. In the coming years, Amdouni is bound to have revenue from his social media channels, along with various endorsement deals.

A boot partnership can be particularly lucrative, even if he’s plying his trade in the Championship.

According to Spotrac, Amdouni’s contract with Burnley is worth £30,000 per week until the end of the 2026-27 season.

This was tied for the 343rd-largest salary in the Premier League in 2023-24. He was on the same wage as Vitaly Janelt, Scott Carson, and Tom Davies.

With his career at the top level very much in its infancy, there’s plenty of time for Amdouni to add to his net worth. This figure is bound to change in the coming years if Amdouni gets anywhere close to his on-pitch potential.

Parents

Zeki Amdouni has a Tunisian mother and Turkish father. He represented Turkey at under-21 level, but returned to play for Switzerland.

Amdouni was born in Geneva, and was eligible to represent Switzerland, Turkey, or Tunisia as a full international.

Playing for Switzerland at under-20 before both Turkey and Switzerland at under-21, Amdouni made his full international debut for Switzerland in the Nations League in September 2022.

His first senior goal was scored in a 5-0 drubbing of Belarus – he’s now on seven goals in 14 caps.

Amdouni Market Value

Transfermarkt has a huge amount of information on Zeki Amdouni. His market value over time is perhaps the most interesting part of Amdouni’s profile, however.

His value was under £1 million at the start of 2022, but climbed to almost £15 million in late 2023 after he had signed for Burnley.

Amdouni has scored 78 goals in 232 club appearances. He was top scorer in the 2022-23 Europa Conference League, and was named in the Swiss Super League Team of the Year in the same season, despite Basel finishing fifth.

Injury News

Zeki Amdouni has fortunately avoided injuries for most of his career to date.

He was fully fit throughout his debut campaign with Burnley, and hasn’t missed any matches through injury since the start of the 2022-23 season.

Fully fit entering Euro 2024, Amdouni is expected to start with Xherdan Shaqiri and Noah Okafor in the front three.

Joining Burnley

Burnley signed Zeki Amdouni for roughly £16 million in the 2023 summer transfer window.

After starring on loan at Basel, Amdouni caught the eye of several clubs in Europe’s top five leagues and Burnley splashed the cash on the Switzerland star after securing promotion to the Premier League.

When the signing was announced, Amdouni said, “I’m very happy to be here and I’m excited to start.

“The last two months were very important to me; I spoke to the coach, and he really wanted me. Also, I really wanted to work with him, for me that’s the most important. For my career, to choose a good club, where the coach wants you is important to me.

“I know the Premier League is best league in the world. It’s not easy for sure but I am confident with the coach, and the staff, I can do good things here.”

Then Burnley manager Vincent Kompany added, “He’s been on our radar for quite a while now.

“Zeki is such a goal threat. The way he can play the final pass creates so many assists and thanks to the amount of work he puts in on the pitch - he scores plenty himself.

“He’s a very intelligent footballer, technically gifted and with a great work ethic. He works really hard and we’re looking forward to working with him. He’s a big talent.”

In his first season with the club, Amdouni contributed five goals and a single assist in 1,953 Premier League minutes. Burnley suffered relegation, and Kompany was hired by Bayern Munich.

With the Clarets in the Championship and Kompany in Bavaria, Amdouni’s future is up in the air. It’s unlikely Burnley will be able to recoup the transfer fee unless she shines in the Euros.
